Gena Phelps of Tintri Named to CRN's 2016 Women of the Channel

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - May 19, 2016) -  Tintri, Inc., a leading producer of VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualization and cloud environments, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Gena Phelps, senior manager of channel marketing, to its 2016 Women of the Channel list. The women executives who comprise this annual list span the IT channel, representing vendors, distributors, solution providers and other organizations that figure prominently in the channel ecosystem. Each is recognized for her leadership, vision, and unique role in driving channel growth and innovation.

CRN editors select the Women of the Channel honorees on the basis of their professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise and ongoing dedication to the IT channel.

Working closely with Tintri's channel, marketing and executive team, Phelps spearheaded efforts to expand the company's Global Partner Program. Phelps created targeted account campaigns within markets across North America that helped partners identify key market opportunities and developed a new marketing development fund program to drive demand generation. The expanded Global Partner Program, which earned a CRN 5-star designation for the second time, helps partners increase VAS sales through new program tiers, automatically earn rewards and access new certifications and training. The program simplifies channel transactions with Tintri and enables resellers, cloud solutions providers and system integrators to offer differentiated VM-aware storage solutions.

"These executives have made a lasting mark on our industry -- growing and elevating partner programs, leading transitions to new business models and introducing cutting-edge go-to-market strategies, among other remarkable achievements," said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. "We congratulate all the 2016 Women of the Channel and celebrate their singular contributions to the advancement of the channel ecosystem."

"In just a few months, Gena and the channel team have played a big role in reinforcing Tintri's commitment to the channel," said Eric Berry, VP Channel Operations, Tintri. "Gena's contributions help our partners understand and articulate the value proposition of VM-aware storage to their customers. Tintri will continue to execute on our global partnership strategy and scale-out product roadmap to ensure our channel capitalizes on growth opportunities in private and hybrid cloud storage markets."

The 2016 Women of the Channel list will be featured in the June issue of CRN Magazine and online at www.CRN.com/wotc2016.
