General Environmental Management, Inc. (GEM) Announces Increase in Waste Managed Through Proprietary Software

POMONA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 30, 2005 -- General Environmental Management, Inc. (OTC BB: GEVM), a leading environmental and waste remediation company, announced a six-fold increase in waste tonnage managed through its proprietary GEMWare customer waste management and tracking software.

For the year ending December 31, 2003, GEM managed 12,070,197 lbs of hazardous and non-hazardous waste compared to 33, 015,688 lbs in calendar year 2004. For January 2005 through October 2005, GEM managed 75,653,322 lbs of waste and is projecting to manage just short of 82,000,000 lbs for the 12 months ending December 31, 2005.

Tim Koziol, Chairman and CEO, commented, "GEMWare continues to be an essential part of GEM's business. The company anticipates that the efficiencies of the Web-based software will enable GEM to attract larger and more diverse customer relationships."

The GEM enterprise software system, GEMWare, is an Internet-based waste management and tracking system that allows customers to interface with specific data related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste their facilities generate. Beyond the "cradle-to-grave" tracking functionality, GEMWare provides administrative efficiencies to customers by producing reports necessary to meet state and federal environmental regulatory requirements, ultimately reducing customer operating costs.

John Beale, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, stated, "The tonnage report is the first non-financial confirmation that the market is responding to our business model, and that our customers are embracing the GEMWare system. Our daily orders are up, contracts landed are increasing, and customer count is on the rise. To receive confirmation through the tonnage report is a true validation."

As an innovator in the environmental services business, GEM is committed to leading by being systems-focused and logistically efficient.

Larry Fink, Vice President of Operations, commented, "In order to maintain the superior service our customers are accustomed to, we've added equipment and personnel. As a service provider, we stay focused on the customer. As the company grows and the tonnage managed increases, management is prepared for the task."
