Genesis Electronics Manufacturing Announces Plans to Exhibit at the 11th Annual Atlanta SMTA Expo

GEM Will Be Showcasing Its Expanded Supply Chain Solutions at the Atlanta SMTA Exposition on April 19, 2007 at the Gwinnett Civic Center in Duluth, Georgia

TAMPA, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 29, 2007 -- Genesis Electronics Manufacturing, Inc. (GEM) announced today that the company will be exhibiting its expanded Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) supply chain solutions at the 11th annual Atlanta SMTA Expo on April 19th, 2007. These supply chain solutions include sustaining electronics manufacturing, end of life purchase avoidance, electronic repair, refurbishment, and remanufacturing, as well as direct model service logistics solutions.

"The back end of the product life-cycle has long been underserved from a total supply chain perspective," said Scott Mauldin, President. "Since we added after market depot repair service offerings as an enhancement to our electronics manufacturing services three years ago, we have learned a great deal about the challenges that many electronic OEMs face in supporting products with long service lifecycles. When we ask our OEM customers what their greatest challenges typically are, almost unanimously we heard that the greatest hidden cost per unit is on the tail end of the production curve when OEMs are forced to make last time build and buy decisions. Our goal is to provide flexibility on the back end so that OEMs can more closely match supply with demand by providing late product life and end of life manufacturing support."
