Genius Brands International and Its Wholly Owned Subsidiary, A Squared Entertainment, Sign Chronicle Books as Publishing Partner for Popular From Frank™ Lifestyle Brand

Chronicle Books to Publish a Hilarious New From Frank Book in Fall 2015 and Wall Calendar Available at Retail in Summer 2015

BEVERLY HILLS, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 11, 2014) - Genius Brands International, Inc. "GBI" (OTCQB: GNUS), and its wholly owned subsidiary A Squared Entertainment, has finalized an agreement with Chronicle Books for its client, From Frank, to publish a new From Frank book, "Don't Fart When You Snuggle: Lessons On How To Make Humans Smile," as well as a 2016 wall calendar. The announcement was made today by Stone Newman, President, Global Consumer Products, GBI, and Sarah Malarkey, Executive Editorial Director, Chronicle Books.

"From Frank's infectious humor translates so naturally onto a broad range of products, and what better way to introduce the world to Frank and tell his story than with a book that brings Frank and his beloved friends alive for fans," said Newman. "We are delighted that Chronicle Books has joined us and our other From Frank partners to deliver Frank's wisecracking humor across multiple product categories."

"Chronicle is excited to partner with From Frank on 'Don't Fart When You Snuggle: Lessons On How To Make Humans Smile,'" comments Malarkey, Chronicle Books. "This compilation of hilarious photos and advice from Frank and his friends will help dogs of all shapes and sizes join their mission to make humans happy."

From Frank began as a line of witty greeting cards just a few years ago and has grown to become a humor lifestyle brand with a range of new products to be introduced in 2015, including lottery tickets (GTECH), sticky notes, boxed cards and notepads (Galison/Mudpuppy); emoticons and a photo bomb app (Bare Tree Media), a 2015 Wall Calendar and 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles (Calendar Club), and pins, stickers, air fresheners, and magnets (Hot Properties). GBI is also currently in discussions with partners to develop pet products, stationery, party supplies, apparel, accessories, plush, novelty and more.

About From Frank:
The idea for From Frank, the brainchild of Kate Smith and her French bulldog, Frank the Tank, was born in 2008 when Smith combined images capturing Frank's humorous, human-like personality with the quirky, yet happy, comments she imagined Frank saying. Frank's main goal in life is to make humans smile. And since he's not allowed to venture more than a block from his house, his cards and other gift products help him do that. Frank knows how to live life -- he appreciates the little things and quickly forgets the bad ones.

The From Frank brand shares these values with consumers, helping them to take life a little less seriously and ultimately to make them smile.
