GENIVAR Income Fund acquires a Quebec-based building engineering firm

MONTREAL, Sept. 8 - The GENIVAR Income Fund (GENIVAR) is
pleased to announce the acquisition of 3477592 Canada Inc., doing business
under the name Progemes Consultants (Progemes), a building engineering firm
based in Longueuil, Quebec.
"I am very happy that Progemes has joined forces with GENIVAR," said
François Perreault, GENIVAR's Vice-President for Western Quebec. "Thanks to
its full range of mechanical and electrical building engineering services, the
firm will strengthen GENIVAR's current team in this discipline, including our
green building centre of excellence. In addition to developing building
sustainable development skills, Progemes has designed a number of buildings
that require less energy and natural resources to operate, thereby reducing
greenhouse gas emissions. These include Logistik Unicorp Inc.'s plant in
Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, which is in the process of receiving LEED Gold
certification, along with various buildings in the education sector designed
for optimal energy performance and user comfort via the integration of
geothermal and solar technology."
"We are very happy to be part of GENIVAR, one of the most dynamic
engineering firms in Canada," said Réal Thériault, President of Progemes. "Our
new operating structure will give our expansion fresh momentum, while joining
a multidisciplinary firm will allow us to broaden our client service offer. We
will also be positioned to further develop our skills, particularly as regards
sustainable engineering solutions, to which both firms assign great
importance. Our prospects are bright, not only in terms of team development
opportunities, but also in terms of expanding our client base."
