Gentex Receives Multiple Quality Awards From Toyota

ZEELAND, MI--(Marketwire - November 29, 2007) - Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ : GNTX ), the leading
supplier of automatic-dimming rearview mirrors to the worldwide automotive
industry, has received multiple quality awards from Toyota and its
distributors for accessory business performance in 2006/2007. Southeast
Toyota Distributors LLC awarded Gentex with a "Business Partner Award of
Excellence"; Gulf States Toyota recognized the Company for "Top Supplier
Performance"; and, most recently, Toyota Motor Sales, USA (TMS) bestowed
its Total Quality Alliance "Gold Award" on Gentex at the annual TMS
Supplier Conference held in October. This is the fifth consecutive year
that TMS has awarded Gentex either a "Gold" or "Platinum" award for its
accessory program.
Gentex supplies Toyota companies around the world with interior and
exterior automatic-dimming mirrors, which automatically darken to reduce
glare from the headlamps of vehicles approaching from the rear. In North
America, featured mirrors, including compass, LED lighting, Johnson
Control's Homelink®, and, in some states, rear-camera displays are
available through Toyota port and dealer-installed accessory channels.
Gentex has been supplying auto-dimming mirrors to Toyota distributors as an
accessory part since 1993.
