GeoAid International Announces the Appointment of Cecilia Enohmbi Saleh as Cameroon Country Director

MCMINNVILLE, OREGON--(Marketwire - July 13, 2009) - GeoAid International Inc. announces the recent appointment of Cecilia Enohmbi Saleh, a Cameroonian citizen, as its Cameroon Country Director. GeoAid International is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization established in 1999 by Geovic Mining to bring the benefits of mineral development directly to those in need of life-enhancing assistance.

Mrs. Saleh brings over 16 years of humanitarian experience in both country-level and regional leadership positions throughout West and Central Africa. Experienced in development and post-conflict crisis situations, she has worked in the areas of technical support, program management, logistics, finance, and administration within major international non-government organizations.

She has worked in Cote d'Ivoire, Liberia, Chad, Rwanda, and Cameroon, as well as held headquarters responsibilities in the UK for such organizations as: Save the Children, Christian Children's Fund, Merlin, and Christian Aid. Additionally, she served as the Head of Mission for the Danish Refugee Commission for West Africa, and was Manager of the European Union Project Liaison Office in Cameroon. Her undergraduate degree was taken at Yaounde University, Cameroon, and she holds an MSc in Public and Community Services from the University of London.

As Country Director, Mrs. Saleh is GeoAid's official representative charged with directing its socio-humanitarian development programs in Cameroon. A registered non-profit association, GeoAid Cameroon provides support to Geovic Cameroon (GeoCam), a Cameroon corporation established by Geovic Mining and Societe Nationale D'Investissement du Cameroon (SNI) to develop cobalt, nickel and manganese deposits in the East Province.
