Geoinformatics Announces Appointments to its Board of Directors

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 18, 2005) - Geoinformatics Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GXL) ("Geoinformatics" or the "Company") today announced changes to its Board of Directors. Further to the announcement by way of a press release dated October 5, 2005, of the closing of the previously announced acquisition by Geologic Resource Partners LLC ("Geologic") and Sun Valley Gold LLC ("Sun Valley"), of 22 million shares of Geoinformatics, the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of George R. Ireland of Geologic and Chris K. Falck of Sun Valley to its Board of Directors to hold office until the next annual meeting of the Corporation. Mr. George Mihaleto has retired from the Board.

Mr. Ireland is the portfolio manager of the Geologic Resource Funds. He has over twenty-five years of experience in the resource sectors in positions ranging from field geologist, banking and venture capital and for the last twelve years as a portfolio manager on behalf of institutional clients. He graduated from Phillips Academy and the University of Michigan with BSc degrees in Resource Economics and Geology. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Uranium Resources, Inc. and Peru Copper, Inc.

Mr. Falck is the Director of Research for Sun Valley Gold. He has nineteen years experience principally in the resource sector. His background is in public accounting, where he qualified in 1985 as a chartered accountant in England and Wales, with the firm of Coopers & Lybrand, London, England. In addition, he has held various positions, since emigrating to Canada in 1986, including working for a major international mining company, having worked in corporate finance and for the last five years having worked for Sun Valley Gold LLC in mining equity research. Mr. Falck is a CFA charterholder.

The Board of Directors has extended its sincere appreciation to Mr. Mihaleto for his significant contributions to Geoinformatics and is pleased he will continue to be available to the Company on a consultancy basis.
