Geoinformatics Extends Recent Los Laureles Discovery in Mexico

Further High-grade Molybdenum-Copper-Silver Intercepts Drilled

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 10, 2008) - Geoinformatics Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GXL) ("Geoinformatics" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has received the assay results from the last two holes of an initial five-hole program on the Los Laureles Prospect ("Los Laureles") at its La Noria Project ("La Noria") in the State of Sinaloa, Mexico. The latest drill intercepts, combined with the first three drill holes announced on January 30, 2008, indicate the discovery of a new poly-metallic breccia system at Los Laureles. Los Laureles is located 10 km. from the Azulitas Prospect ("Azulitas") which hosts a recently-announced National Instrument (NI) 43-101 poly-metallic (copper-silver-molybdenum-gold) Mineral Resource. La Noria totals 149 square kilometres (sq. km.) of contiguous claims.

Highlights

- Hole 5 intersected from surface:

-- 96 metres grading 0.07% molybdenum (0.12% MoS2), 0.26% copper and 12.6 grams per tonne (g/t) silver,

which included a higher-grade zone of:

-- 35 metres grading 0.64% copper and 0.10% molybdenum (0.17% MoS2).

Hole 5 was drilled perpendicular to the interpreted dip of the main mineralized zone and the intersections are believed to represent the approximate true width of the zone.

- The reported assay results extend the widespread mineralization at Los Laureles to a drilled strike length of at least 400 metres, widths up to approximately 100 metres and from surface to depths of approximately 320 metres.

- The mineralized zone is open along strike and at depth with the total breccia zone, mapped from geochemistry and surface exposure, having a strike length of over 750 metres and surface widths of up to 180 metres.

Los Laureles Prospect

Los Laureles was targeted on the basis of its geophysical signature and coincident geochemical anomalism. Surface sampling revealed extensive copper-silver-molybdenum soil anomalies coincident with a mapped breccia zone hosted in granodiorite rocks.

Mapping indicates that the breccia zone comes to surface along a topographic ridge and its flanks and is oriented southeast to northwest extending over an area 750 metres long by 180 metres wide (Figure 1). The mineralized zone is interpreted to be wedge-shaped in vertical cross-section (Figure 2), with mineralization being largely bounded and controlled by a fault observed at surface on the northeast flank of the ridge and dipping moderately to the southwest. There is also some evidence of mineralization to the northeast of the fault in the "footwall" (lower underlying) side (Figure 2).

Holes 1 and 2 were both drilled at the base of the southwest flank of the ridge on azimuth 040 degrees (northeast) on a 270-metre spacing and intersected 8 to 12-metre zones of mineralization at depth. Hole 3 was drilled from higher on the ridge and was mineralized from surface grading 0.12% molybdenum (0.20% MoS2); 0.14% copper, 0.08 g/t gold and 11.9 g/t silver over 107 metres until the hole was stopped due to a mechanical drill problem (ending in mineralization). Encouragingly, Hole 3 also included a higher-grade copper-gold-silver intercept of 8 metres of 0.84% copper, 0.27 g/t gold and 56.5 g/t silver (see previous press-release dated January 30, 2008).

Hole 4 (DDLL_08_04) was drilled on azimuth 220 degrees (southwest), but started within the footwall zone of the fault and stayed largely within the fault zone. It did not intersect the main part of the mineralized breccia, but did return several notable intercepts including 51 metres grading 0.24% copper and 6.6 g/t silver (see Tables 1 and 2).

Hole 5 was drilled on azimuth 050 degrees (northeast) and approximately perpendicular to the dip of the breccia zone. It had several long mineralized intersections from surface which approximate the 'true-width' of the main mineralized zone including 96 metres grading 0.07% molybdenum (0.12% MoS2), 0.26% copper and 12.6 g/t silver, which included a higher-grade zone of 35 metres grading 0.64% copper and 0.10% molybdenum (0.17% MoS2).

La Noria Project

La Noria is located approximately 60 km. northeast of the port of Mazatlan in the State of Sinaloa and 35 km. from a main rail-line. The project, which is serviced with electric power, consists of mineral claims and option agreements covering an area of approximately 149 sq. km. in low-rolling hills intersected by numerous roads and tracks that are accessible for most of the year.

Geoinformatics' current objective at La Noria is to identify sufficient resources that have the potential to support an intergrated mining operation. Geoinformatics is awaiting assay results on drill holes on the Amarillito and Mozulitas Prospects, both near Azulitas approximately 10 km. west of Los Laureles.

In addition to Los Laureles, positive drill results from several of the other prospects at La Noria include:

Azulitas: NI 43-101 compliant Inferred Resource (refer to press-release of February 13, 2008) consisting of 5.63 million tonnes grading 0.54% copper, 12.2 g/t silver, 0.08 g/t gold and 0.04% molybdenum (0.06% MoS2).

La Verde: Drill intersection of 76 metres grading 0.32% copper, 0.04 g/t gold and 7.2 g/t silver.

Amarillito: Drill intersection of 56 metres grading 0.27% copper, 0.03 g/t gold and 9.65 g/t silver. Assays are pending on a second hole).

Mozulitas: Drill intersection of 47 metres grading 0.12% molybdenum (0.20% MoS2). Assays are pending on a second hole.

Kennecott - Geoinformatics Alliance Agreement

La Noria falls under the Master Strategic Alliance Agreement (the "Alliance Agreement") between Geoinformatics and Kennecott Exploration Company. The Company entered into the Alliance Agreement effective March 2006 under which it has been using its proprietary geoscience and technology platform (the "Geoinformatics Process") to successfully identify, prioritize and drill more than 30 exploration drill targets over the initial two years of the Agreement. La Noria was acquired as a target-of-merit under the Alliance Agreement, and Kennecott retains a back-in right to acquire either a 51% or 60% interest in La Noria Project under certain circumstances.
