Geologix Explorations Inc.: Drilling Completed at Patacorral

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 23, 2005) - Geologix Explorations Inc. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:GIX) is pleased to report on continuing exploration of its wholly owned Patacorral gold/silver prospect (500 hectares) located in Huancavelica Department of central Peru. Previous exploration by the Company identified a significant precious-metal bearing vein system within a 300 meter x 350 meter area via rock and soil sampling as well as hand trenching dug perpendicular to the strike of the veins (see Press Release dated February 3, 2005).

Significant gold and silver results from the trenches are:

Sample Width Au (g/t) Ag (g/t)

3m 2.29 18.10
3m 2.60 42.80

3m 0.50 11.00

TRENCH 3 (partially complete) - located near surface boulders which
assayed 16 g/t gold and 18 g/t gold

Sample Width Au (g/t) Ag (g/t)

The majority of the vein sets strike NE and dip to the SE. Four diamond drill holes were collared over approximately 200 meters of strike length and drilled at -45 degrees to the NW ( Except drill hole # 6 which was drilled at -70 degrees from the same collar as drill hole #1). Average drill hole depth was 150 meters. Three of these drill holes had the following interesting intercepts;

D.D.H. 4 Weakly anamolous values

Drill holes 3 and 5 were drilled approximately 200 meters to the NE targeting a buried geophysical anomaly. Weakly anomalous gold and silver values were encountered.

Mineralized veins identified in the trenches were intersected in all of the four drill holes in the main zone. A 3-D and statistical model will now be generated with the objective of trying to determine the locations of potential higher grade gold and silver shoots within this prolific vein system.

All samples have been collected by Geologix's Peruvian field crews in accordance with industry standards and were submitted to ALS Chemex in Lima, Peru. The Company's President and Chief Executive Officer, Robert D. Willis P. Geo., a 'qualified person' for the purposes of National Instrument 43- 101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Properties, has verified the data disclosed in this news release including sampling, analytical and test data. Sample analysis was completed by ALS Chemex Laboratory Services Limited of Lima, Peru and Vancouver, British Columbia. Samples were fire assayed for gold, with AA finish; results for other elements used the ICP procedure.
