Georgia Ventures Inc.: High Grade Copper Encountered on Towerstone Project, China

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 8, 2005) - Georgia Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GVI) -

The company announces that exploration on its Towerstone Project, in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region of Northwest China, has resulted in the discovery of high grade copper.

Located within an intensely altered zone of porphyritic and magnetite rich quartz-stockwork assemblages, panel chip sampling on exposure #1 returned an assay of 4.09% Cu with 68.4 g/t Ag. 280 meters North of exposure #1 and along strike, a panel chip sample from exposure #2 graded 1.18% Cu.

Further prospecting has encountered additional outcrops containing malachite 500 meters North of exposure #2. Assays are pending.

Ongoing exploration consists of rock sampling, mapping, induced polarization geophysical surveys, and trenching, all to define drill targets.

Further exploration of the Bogutu epithermal gold prospect has increased the overall dimensions of the main zone to approximately 2 Km, with an average width of 100 meters.

Assays from trenching on the main zone have returned values of up to 7.45g/tonne gold. Two additional "en-echelon" zones have also been mapped and sampled. Assays are pending. Further work on the Bogutu gold zone will consist of mapping, sampling, and metallurgical studies

Georgia Ventures has the right to earn a 70% interest in the Towerstone Project, covering approx. 500 square Km within the Tian Shan mineral belt, the host of the Kumtor Gold Mine and the Muruntau Gold Mine. The Towerstone project contains a full suite of mineralization types, including porphyry copper-gold, high level epithermal gold and volcanogenic massive sulphide occurrences.
