Background information

What is Yps?

Roughly speaking, Yps is a combination of the "Wired" magazine (lifestyle and urban culture) and comics strips for grown-ups. Yps is published bimonthly by Egmont Ehapa Media and targets mainly men aged 25 and up. Its flagship character is the green squared kangaroo called Yps

Why Donald Trump and Ted Cruz?

In every issue Yps features a comic story including well known celebrities, e.g. Ozzy Osbourne or Michael Douglas. This year's presidential elections are also very present throughout the German media landscape. Therefore Martin Tazl, author and illustrator of the new comic "Viva Las Vegas", thought this was the ideal topic for a satirical approach.
