German Games in Cincinnati Celebrate America's Oktoberfest, Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati USA

Who:    Beer Stein Races and Keg Barrel Rolling Contests
        are the highlights of the Gemuetlichkeit
        (gu-malt-li-kite) or German Goodwill Games
        held in celebration of the upcoming Oktoberfest-
        Zinzinnati in Cincinnati (Sept. 19 and 20).

What:   The Gemuetlichkeit (gu-malt-li-kite) or German Goodwill Games
        feature the Beer Stein Races where contestants in authentic German
        attire race with fists full of filled beer steins to see who is
        not only the fastest but who can spill the least. Also featured is
        the Keg Barrel Rolling Contest where participants race to roll a
        traditional wooden beer barrel in the fastest time.

When:   The Gemuetlichkeit or German Goodwill Games will be held on
        Thursday, Sept. 17, noon.

Where:  Fountain Square, the heart of downtown Cincinnati

Why:    The event builds excitement for the Opening Ceremonies of the
        Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati on Saturday, Sept. 19, 11:30 a.m.
