German-Jordanian University Launches Aruba Academy at the School of Informatics and Computing

Career Development Program Helps Students Develop Skills Required for Today's Workplace

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - September 8, 2009) - Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN), a global leader in wireless LANs and secure mobility solutions, today announced that the German-Jordanian University (GJU) in Amman, Jordan has become the first Aruba Academy Partner in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The Aruba Academy is a career development program that leverages collaboration between Aruba, academic institutions, and government organisations to help students develop the technology skills required for today's workplace. Participating institutions integrate Aruba's cutting-edge technology and training curriculum into educational courses that give students access to first-class professional development opportunities.

Modeled on German universities of applied sciences, GJU was founded in 2005 by a Royal Decree of His Majesty King Abdullah in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding reached between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Republic of Germany. Currently, GJU has approximately 1,500 local and international students at its temporary campus in Amman. GJU will soon move to a permanent campus in Madaba that will accommodate 5,000 students.
