In 2007 in terms of the strong demands, Air China's RTK and RPK increased 11.5 per cent and 11.1 per cent year-on-year, in a rapid growth period. The growth of RTK of domestic, international and regional route was 10.8 per cent , 12.2 per cent and 2.8 per cent year-on-year; the growth of RPK of domestic, international and regional route was 10 per cent, 13 per cent and 2.3 per cent.

In Mar 2008, Air China made 69.7 per cent, 77.7 per cent and 60.5 per cent of load factor, passenger load factor and freight load factor respectively, increased 3.1 percentage points, 0 percentage point and 5.7 percentage points year-on-year. In the first quarter of 2008, the load factor, passenger load factor and freight load factor was 67.6 per cent, 77.1 per cent and 56.3 per cent respectively, increased 4.4 per cent, 2.4 per cent and 5.3 per cent year-on-year.

Air China is expected to introduce 22, 26 and 26 aircrafts respectively in the next three years, according to the aircraft's age, two 737-300, three 767-200 owned by Air China and one 330-200 rented from Dragon Air will be out of operation gradually in the next three years.

In terms of the undelivered aircraft orders that the number of undelivered aircraft passenger seats of single aircraft is more than the existing passenger seats of single aircraft, this is indicated that Air China will expand its international market in the next three years; meanwhile, the 747 aircrafts are still in operation condition, thus, the growth of passenger seats is expected increasing 11.27 per cent in 2008, 10.71 per cent in 2009 and 9.74 per cent in 2010, higher than the growth of aircraft number 9.22 per cent in 2008, 10.13 per cent in 2009 and 9.20 per cent in 2010.

The Jet fuel is the main costs of Air China. In terms of the rapid growth of fuel price in the global market, Air China will face the tremendous pressure of increasing cost in the next few years.
