Get Money Magazine Hits Newsstands With Diggy Simmons

New Issue Already Being Called a Collector's Item

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 20, 2010) - The new issue of GET MONEY Magazine hits newsstands this week, just days after Diggy Simmons dropped his highly anticipated mixtape Airborne. Simmons' cover highlights the publication known as The Magazine of Choice for the Corporate Hustler®, and pre-order demand for the issue has prompted the magazine to place a temporary limit of 5 copies per customer for website orders. A spokesman for online subscriptions noted, "Many people -- probably investors and collectors -- are ordering lots of copies of this Diggy issue, realizing they will be worth LOTS of money in the future. We just don't want to run out before the new shipment of magazines arrives."

GET MONEY is a New York-based urban business and finance magazine focusing on principles of wealth creation for younger urban adults. Although written from an urban perspective, the magazine has gained wide appeal, boasting writers who have managed corporations such as Phizer and Exxon, and interviewing the heiress of the Maybelline make-up empire (holiday issue).

GET MONEY publisher and CEO Kolie Crutcher says of the Diggy Simmons interview, "Diggy's was one of the best interviews we've had. This kid is really on point when it comes to business. He's got a great understanding of the value of hard work and sacrifice -- which is rare for a teenager. And for the readers, the great twist is that this interview actually took place before he got signed to Atlantic [Records], which proves how you've got to grind before you shine... Or in Diggy's case, grind before you're signed."

In addition to the Diggy feature, the new issue of GET MONEY includes Relationship, Inc. by Yolie "Betty Booty," The 7 Laws of Money, From The Street Corner To The Corner Office, The First Million, Atlanta-based rap trio F.L.Y., beautiful model Ms. November and much more.

The new issue is being distributed on newsstands across the nation. It is also available in bookstores and can be purchased directly online at, where Diggy Simmons' new Airborne mixtape can also be downloaded.

Black Men Magazine publisher John Blassingame summed up the new issue of GET MONEY, saying "I'm sure Diggy Simmons will cover many mores magazines in his career, but this GET MONEY cover is the first -- it's a big deal!"
