Why: To kick off Husky Help the Hungry Week, share details about the week to come, and officially proclaim the week of May 30^th Husky Help the Hungry Week.

Now in its 14^th year, Help the Hungry Week has brought together organizations from the corporate and community sectors, in support of the Calgary Food Bank. The partners in this year's campaign will talk about their involvement and how they believe Calgarians can become part of the solution.

A Week in Their Kitchen, an annual part of Help the Hungry Week, will also launch on this day. Average Calgarians representing a broad selection of ages, incomes and experiences will receive an Emergency Food Hamper from the Calgary Food Bank.
