The workshop will guide attendees to think critically about how the intersection of clinical data, known health risks and patient engagement preferences can inform the creation of standardized and personalized activation strategies to advance overall quality, safety and cost outcomes and create the optimal patient experience.

O'Neil will also present an "ePatient Entrepreneur Story" where he will share his journey from cancer patient to founder of GetWellNetwork and a new model of patient care that leverages patient engagement and IPC technology to improve clinical outcomes.

The Stanford Medicine X Conference explores how emerging technologies can be used to advance the practice of medicine, improve health and empower patients to be active participants in their own care. The "X" is meant to encourage thinking beyond numbers and trends, and symbolizes the infinite possibilities for current and future information technologies to improve health.
