Combination of Technologies Saves Time and Improves Care Coordination Through Patient-Provider Video Collaboration

At the HIMSS15 Annual Conference & Exhibition in Chicago, Ill., April 12-16, the companies will debut how their combined technologies enhance pre-operative patient education as well as at-home, post-operative physician follow-up via video.

The integration is the latest result of GetWell Labs, a research and development incubator for disruptive patient and family engagement technologies. Using a PC or mobile device, patients can view, complete and record physician-prescribed care plans and activities. ViiMed routes completed activities to care team providers, who then review the recorded activity and respond at their convenience. ViiMed's asynchronous, bi-directional communication and coordination help minimize missed appointments, uneventful visits, procedure cancellations and unnecessary readmissions.
