GFC Development Wins Two Gold 2011 PRISM Awards

The Residences at Maxwell's Green Recognized for Its Outstanding Achievement in Eco-Friendly Construction and Design

WESTON, MA--(Marketwire - Oct 31, 2011) - GFC Development, Inc., a leading real estate development and construction firm serving Boston since 1999, announced today that it was honored to receive two Gold 2011 PRISM (Prestigious Results in Sales and Marketing) Awards for its latest eco-friendly project, The Residences at Maxwell's Green ("Maxwell's Green"), located in Somerville, MA. Hosted every two years by the Builders Association of Greater Boston (, one of the leading trade associations in New England, the PRISM awards pay tribute to housing industry professionals for excellence in building, design, sales and marketing, and a myriad of other categories.

Following GFC's resounding success developing Somerville's first LEED-certified environmentally friendly condominiums, GFC and its affiliates are building 15 units out of a total 199-unit planned luxury apartment complex known as Maxwell's Green. GFC has completed construction on the first six units, which were built according to LEED standards. The remaining units are being constructed by KSS and Gate Ventures and are anticipated to be completed in 2012.

Charles Aggouras, President, and Daniel DiPierro, Senior Vice President, of GFC Development, along with architect The MZO Group and interior merchandiser Karen Joy Interiors, were presented Gold PRISM awards for Maxwell's Green in the categories of "Most Innovative Green Design 'Open' Category -- Multi-family" and "Best Urban In-Fill Project."
