G.ho.st Uses ThinkFree for Viewing Office Documents

RAMALLAH, PALESTINE and JERUSALEM and SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - September 5, 2007) -

G.ho.st™ (the Global Hosted Operating SysTem), a leading Web operating system, and ThinkFree™, a leading provider of on-premise and on-demand office applications, today announced the live integration of their services, providing free office suite viewing functionality for users of the G.ho.st Virtual Computer (VC).

"We're seeing a major market trend toward allowing people to work within the same user interface to view documents, XML syndication (e.g., Atom and RSS) feeds, and favorite Web sites from any remote computer," commented Peter O'Kelly, research director for Burton Group's Collaboration and Content Strategies service. "Having the applications and files you need accessible from any location means never again, for example, facing the prospect of forgetting to download the latest version of the sales presentation you need to deliver to a client that day. G.ho.st and ThinkFree are working together to exploit this trend, and to take the Software-as-a-Service model to the next level: eliminating the need for pre-installed software on your desktop."

G.ho.st users can view Microsoft Office-compatible files (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint format files) directly from their free 3 GB of G.ho.st storage. Integrating ThinkFree's document viewers allows users to simply right-click the documents on the G.ho.st desktop and select "View." Using online services eliminates the need to install expensive software. In a future release, the companies plan to implement forthcoming APIs from ThinkFree that will allow full authoring and editing of office documents using ThinkFree applications within the G.ho.st environment.

"G.ho.st and ThinkFree share the vision of taking the entire computing environment online. We are delighted to elevate the G.ho.st Virtual Computer to the next level with seamless online viewing of office documents using ThinkFree," said Dr. Zvi Schreiber, founder and CEO of G.ho.st.

"Our objective in extending our services is to partner with the best and the brightest," stated ThinkFree founder and CEO, TJ Kang. "We want to focus on building the best online office suite out there. By partnering with G.ho.st, we can extend our functionality while concentrating on our core mission."
