OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 4, 2011) - On Saturday, November 5, 2011 Giant Tiger celebrates the opening of its brand new store in Hawkesbury, Ontario. The new 19,775 square foot store is located at 277 Regent Street, across the parking lot from the original Giant Tiger store which opened in 1983.
Doors open for Saturday's grand opening at 8 a.m. after a ribbon cutting and speeches. As community is at the core of the Giant Tiger brand, a charity barbecue offering a hot dog and a drink for one dollar will be held during the day, with all proceeds raised to support Valoris for Children and Adults of Prescott-Russell. The Giant Tiger team is committed to raise funds to help local organizations and what better way to do this than while celebrating the reopening of the store with the community.

The fun-filled day will have plenty of free activities for customers of all ages including gift card giveaways to the first one hundred customers in store, entertainment, music, face painting, climbing tower, balloons, treats, temporary tiger tattoos, and even a visit from the Giant Tiger himself!
