giffgaff Launches Unlock Campaign Starring Keith Harris and Orville the Duck

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Feb. 8, 2012) - Albion London, the digitally-led creative agency has launched a new campaign for giffgaff, who specialise in sim only deals, featuring Keith and Orville singing a musical tribute to the mobile network with the tagline 'unlock your phone and unlock a chicken'.

The two-minute video parody stars 'KOrville' doing a comedy rap about how other networks lock users into contracts like battery chickens.

Albion executive creative director, Nick Darken said: "People on long mobile contracts are analogous to battery hens, laying profit for big mobile companies. We launched the idea of unlocking real battery hens through new SIM activations last year, and the giffgaff community loved it. We're now giving them shareable content to help get the chicken love out there. And yes we know - Orville is a duck."

The campaign launches on the today, the 8th of February, and giffgaff are working in partnership with the Wood Green Animal Shelter to re-home battery hen chickens when new giffgaff SIM cards are activated.
