NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Nov 21, 2011) - GigaOM Pro's Derrick Harris, Mike Wolf and Armando Escalante, CTO of LexisNexis® Risk Solutions and head of HPCC Systems™, will present a case study on Big Data solutions for legacy and new data sets in an enterprise environment to achieve business and financial goals. The case study will be presented at an upcoming complimentary analyst roundtable called "Solving Big Data: An Enterprise Case Study on Successfully Managing Legacy and New Data."

The analyst roundtable will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 10a.m. Pacific Standard Time, and discuss concepts such as benefits and issues regarding moving data to a single data repository, benefits and challenges to merging datasets, and enterprise measurement methods to capture the downstream affects on human resources, IT and licensing before the data migration.

As SVP and CTO of LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Mr. Escalante is responsible for technology development, R&D, Information Systems, Security and Operations. Mr. Escalante also recently launched HPCC Systems from LexisNexis Risk Solutions. HPCC Systems is an open source, enterprise-proven solution to process and deliver Big Data analytics. Previously, Mr. Escalante served in multiple senior level positions with different companies, including: Bell Labs, EPSON America, Vignette and Unisys Corp. Mr. Escalante has a degree in Electronics Engineering from USB, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from WCU. He also serves on several Boards.

Mr. Derrick Harris is the infrastructure curator for GigaOM Pro and an editor and staff writer at GigaOM. He has been covering the distributed computing space since 2003, when he began reporting on grid computing for GRIDtoday (later renamed On-Demand Enterprise). Derrick holds a juris doctor degree, cum laude, from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Mr. Michael Wolf is the vice president of research at GigaOM. He spent more than 10 years as an industry analyst, starting at In-Stat and launching the company's consumer networking and digital media research services, and more recently was the digital home practice director for ABI.
