GILD Surpasses 100,000 Registered Members in Less Than Three Months

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - December 16, 2010) - PAC Labs, creators of GILD, the first site to combine social gaming with job search and career advancement, today announced a company milestone. Since its launch at TechCrunch Disrupt in September, more than 100,000 professionals have registered with GILD to compete in competitions, interact with peers and employers and advance their careers through certifications and job opportunities.

A growing number of employers including Oracle, Sapient, Harrah's,, eBay, VistaPrint and others sponsor competitions to identify the top talent. Competition winners receive the opportunity to interview for jobs as well as certifications to validate specific skill sets. Previous winners have received prizes such as iPads and trips to Las Vegas.

According to PAC Labs CEO Sheeroy Desai, "Job Boards are solving yesterday's problem and social networks like LinkedIn don't go far enough in validating skills or identifying top talent. For professionals without the right connections, the best resume or a diploma from a top school, GILD provides the opportunity to stand out from the crowd."
