Gildan to Present at Upcoming Institutional Investor Conferences

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 15, 2008) - Gildan Activewear Inc. (TSX:GIL)(NYSE:GIL) announced that Glenn J. Chamandy, President and CEO and Laurence G. Sellyn, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, will present an overview of the Company's business at the Scotia Capital Back to School Conference 2008 in Toronto, on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. EDT. Gildan is a vertically-integrated marketer and manufacturer of quality branded basic apparel.
