Ginguro Announces Pardo Exploration Team

SUDBURY, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 10, 2010) - Ginguro Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:GEG) is pleased to announce that it has recruited a team of South African Geologists with extensive experience and expertise in the Witwatersrand gold fields, to join the Company in its exploration of Pardo, the Company's paleo-placer gold property located north east of Sudbury.

The appointees, and their respective positions with the Company, are as follows:

  • Dr. Lawrence Minter, Special Advisor to the Company
  • Michael Shaw, Project Manager
  • Luke Longridge, Geologist

The recruitment of these appointees was driven by the analogous nature of the geology of Pardo, to that of the Witwatersrand Basin in South Africa, the latter of which hosts the largest gold deposits in the world.

Dr. Minter will act as a special advisor to the Company, providing direction and advice with regard to the Pardo project. In addition to having actively engaged in exploration of paleo-placer gold deposits over the past 50 years, Dr. Minter is a noted authority on the topic, having researched and published extensively on the matter over the same period.

Dr. Minter holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Witwatersrand, he is Professor Emeritus of Geological Sciences at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and he has been recognized by the Society of Economic Geologists for his distinguished research on paleo-placer gold deposits.

Michael Shaw will act as project manager, through Geo-Consult International, and will oversee all planning and execution of exploration activities at Pardo. Mr. Shaw is a seasoned geologist with over 20 years of experience, including extensive work in the area of target generation, exploration, ore resource evaluation and mine projects in the Witwatersrand basin.

Luke Longridge will be joining the Company as Geologist. Mr. Longridge will be responsible for executing exploration activities at Pardo. Mr. Longridge is a PhD candidate at the University of Witwatersrand with extensive education, training and experience in South African gold exploration.

The recruitment of these highly skilled individuals will be invaluable in the advancement of the Company's Pardo project, as it will allow the Company to more efficiently advance its Pardo paleo-placer gold property, by leveraging their collective hands-on knowledge of Witwatersrand type deposits.
