Girl Guides Celebrate 3rd Annual Chocolatey Mint Cookie Week

First lighthouse ever built from Girl Guide chocolatey mint cookie boxes Attention: Assignment Editor, City Editor, Lifestyle Editor, News Editor, Photo Editor HALIFAX/NOVA SCOTIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 13, 2005) - Girl Guides of Canada-Guides du Canada kicks off its 2005 fall cookie campaign with a coordinated week-long cookie selling effort across Canada from October 17-23. Chocolatey Mint Cookie Week begins on Mint Monday, October 17. Girl Guides will be promoting and selling their chocolatey mint cookies to help focus greater public awareness on their official fundraising campaign. Local Girl Guide units will be selling cookies until the end of December (or while quantities last). Sales activities and locations will vary across the country.

Media and the general public are invited to attend this special event.

Girl Guides of Canada is celebrating 95 years of Guiding in Canada. With almost 135,000 members, Girl Guides is the leading organization for girls and women in Canada.
