Giving Canadians Access to Information in Both Official Languages

The Government of Canada supports the Earth Rangers Foundation


WOODBRIDGE, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 19, 2015) - Department of Canadian Heritage

Canadians will have access to the information produced by the Earth Rangers Foundation in both official languages. As a result of $5,000 in Government of Canada funding, young Francophones and their parents will be able to consult material about the project Bring Back the Wild / Restaurer la nature, which has been translated into French.

The Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence and Member of Parliament (Vaughan), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

  • The number of Canadians whose first official language is French was close to 7.3 million in 2011.
  • Earth Rangers is a conservation organization that works with children.
  • The Bring Back the Wild / Restaurer la nature project is dedicated to raising public awareness on biodiversity and funding for research on endangered habitats in Canada and their conservation.
