Glassdoor Names Dawn Lyon Vice President of Corporate Affairs

Brings 20+ Years Strategic Brand-Building Communications Experience

MILL VALLEY, CA--(Marketwired - May 29, 2015) - Glassdoor, the fastest growing jobs and recruiting marketplace, today announced Dawn Lyon has been named vice president of corporate affairs, responsible for overseeing the company's corporate communications and public relations, government affairs, social media and its new economics bureau globally.

Most recently, Lyon served as managing director of LyonSHARE Communications Group, a strategic communications consultancy she founded in 2004, which has served as Glassdoor's agency of record since its launch in 2008. Under Lyon's leadership, LyonSHARE has also served as agency of record for Zillow since 2007, supporting the company's data-driven, brand-building PR programs by managing communications around its 2011 IPO and most recently its $2.5 billion acquisition of Trulia. Lyon's other clients that remain with LyonSHARE include Battery Ventures, HotelTonight, Glympse, Liftopia and more.

Lyon previously served a senior vice president in FleishmanHillard's consumer marketing practice, and she also spent more than 15 years running in-house communications and public affairs programs for several large brands including eBay, a division of Cendant Corporation now called Travelport, Chevron, Cheap Tickets and Amtrak. Her range of experience includes creative story telling, leveraging data programs to build brands, growing global communications departments, managing communications around more than 25 mergers and acquisitions, supporting IPOs and secondary offerings and building and revamping financial communications programs.

Lyon holds a bachelor's degree in journalism with a minor in political science from San Diego State University and an executive certificate from the Center for Public Policy and Management from the University of Washington. She remains a senior advisor to LyonSHARE and a number of technology startups. She also serves on the board of T4A.org, a non-profit that facilitates dialogue between technology leaders and public officials to identify and develop results-focused initiatives that help communities.

Along with Lyon's addition to the executive team, Glassdoor now employs approximately 450 people at its global headquarters in Mill Valley, Calif., across the U.S. and in London, and continues to hire.
