Glenmede Opens a Washington, D.C. Office

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - Oct 8, 2014) - Glenmede, a leading investment and wealth management firm, today announced the opening of a Washington, D.C. office, located at 1717 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, and the appointment of Michael K. Hickey as Regional Director. Mr. Hickey reports to Christopher F. Poch, Director of Business Development, who joined the firm in February having previously served as Regional Director of the Mid-Atlantic region for Bessemer Trust. Mr. Hickey joins Glenmede from Bernstein Global Wealth Management where he worked with clients and professional advisors to develop wealth management strategies for families, private foundations, not-for-profit organizations and companies. This is Glenmede's seventh office as the firm continues its organic growth strategy in key metropolitan areas where it has reached critical mass in clients and partners.

Michael Hickey is Director of Glenmede's Washington, D.C. office. In this role, he spearheads the initiative to more deeply establish the company's presence in the region and surrounding areas. Prior to joining Glenmede, Mr. Hickey served as a financial advisor for Bernstein Global Wealth Management where he worked with clients and professional advisors to develop wealth management strategies for families, private foundations, not-for-profit organizations and companies. Mr. Hickey received a B.A. in English from Williams College and an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland's Robert M. Smith School of Business. He is an active member of the Washington community, serving as a Board of Director of the CFA Society, World Affairs Council (where he acts as the Finance and Investment Committee Chair), the Board for the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese (where he acts as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee) and the Fathers of Daughters Club, in addition to being a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame Committee of Georgetown Preparatory School.

Christopher F. Poch is Director of Business Development and a member of Glenmede's Management Committee.
