Global Adventure Academy to Provide N.Y. and N.J. Students an Exciting Way to Interact and Learn With Peers Abroad

Enrollment Now Open for Innovative Classes Starting October 30th

NORTH BERGEN, NJ--(Marketwire - September 28, 2010) -  Global Adventure Academy is now enrolling NY & NJ students in classes that begin October 30. The Saturday morning program will connect 4th through 7th graders to their peers in Asia, Africa and Central America via high & low technology and an internationally standardized curriculum. The class content is aligned to both NY & NJ state educational standards and combines global & cultural awareness with language arts, math, social studies and creative arts skills.

Enrollment is now open for the Global Adventure Academy's Fall session and parents can reserve space by calling 877-YOU-EXPLORE or visiting

"Global Adventure Academy helps students increase their awareness of the world's diverse cultures and people, become able to envision the impact they can have on the world, and ultimately thrive in a global society," states founder and global educator Julye Augustine. "Parents have been asking for a high-content program that provides their kids with an exciting and engaging global experience, so we are very proud to be providing it. Now, more than ever, it is important for elementary and middle school students to gain knowledge of their global neighbors."

The innovative Global Adventure Academy curriculum has been available in a number of NY schools to date, with great results. Now it will be available outside of the school setting.

"The world is becoming more interconnected and evolving quicker than many realize. The reality that China is on its way to being the world's largest economy, the gulf between rich and poor continues to widen and the U.S. will continue to represent just 4% of the world's population might be surprising to many," states Augustine. "We want to give parents a clear and easy avenue to help their child prepare to thrive, cooperate and compete in the diverse world they will inhabit as adults."

Students with greater exposure to the world gain a broader perspective and make better life choices. By participating in international service projects, exchanging videos, photos, dialogue and more with other students around the world, the Global Adventure Academy helps today's youth create the foundation for success in a highly globalized society.

Global Adventure Academy classes will take place in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hoboken, Montclair and Jersey City.
