Global Capacity Hires M. Gavin McCarty as General Counsel

Mr. McCarty joins Global Capacity from Shefsky & Froelich where he is senior counsel in the general corporate law group, and focused on technology, Internet, regulatory, telecommunications and energy law. With more than 15 years of telecommunications experience, McCarty has worked on a variety of initiatives including corporate work, mergers & acquisitions, commercial transactions, interconnection agreements, litigation, employment matters, software licensing, cloud computing and compliance issues. McCarty is a sought-after industry Attorney, and has been an invited speaker for various technology-related conferences and events, including the National Association of Regulatory Commissioner (NARUC) conference and Federal Communication Bar Association meetings.

Prior to joining Global Capacity, Mr. McCarty held various senior executive roles including 9 years as Chief Legal Officer of Globalcom, Inc. He is also on the board of directors of RootAxcess, LLC, a hosted computing and storage company that serves enterprise businesses.
