The event is funded and organized by GCS, in partnership with ITW, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the LIVESTRONG charity organization. The LIVESTRONG charity is a renowned organization that improves quality of life for members of the global cancer community.
The event, a 5k run or 1 mile walk, will be held Monday, May 14 at 6:00 PM near Grant Park. All are welcome to walk, run, or just donate and cheer on the participants. GCS is funding the entire event which means 100% of all donations will go directly to LIVESTRONG. At the conclusion of the run, media and participants are invited to watch as GCS presents the total amount raised to LIVESTRONG executives in attendance.
