Global Cyber Alliance Hires Two Industry Leaders

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - May 05, 2016) - Global Cyber Alliance (GCA), an international, cross-sector non-profit dedicated to identifying, confronting, and preventing cybersecurity risks, today announced the appointment of Aimee Larsen Kirkpatrick as Global Communications Officer and Andre Ludwig as Chief Technical Officer.

Prior to joining GCA Ms. Larsen Kirkpatrick worked as a strategic communications consultant in the security community. She was also the previous Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships at the National Cyber Security Alliance where she made her mark leading the development of the STOP. THINK. CONNECT. campaign and other national cybersecurity awareness efforts. She has spent her career working with non-profits doing strategic communications, brand-recovery and leading public education campaigns. In 2012 she was a recipient of the Executive Women's Forum Women of Influence Award and several of her past campaigns have won Public Relations Society of America and International Association of Business Communicators awards of excellence.

Larsen Kirkpatrick is also a Senior Research Fellow and advisor for APWG global education efforts and was recently appointed to the board of trustees for the APWG European Union Foundation, a European non-profit scientific research foundation working as APWG's EU chapter. APWG is a global coalition unifying the global response to cybercrime across industry, government and law-enforcement sectors and NGO communities. 

As Global Communications Officer Larsen Kirkpatrick will lead all communication, government relations and marketing programs, partnership development and public affairs. Ludwig is a security expert who has led industry efforts for malware analysis and take downs directed at malicious activity on the Internet. His experience includes commercial and government incident response, threat analysis, threat hunting, and research and development. Prior to joining GCA Ludwig was a Senior Technical Director & Cyber Products Owner at Novetta Solutions, Inc. where he led development of a government R&D product into a successful commercial product.

As CTO of GCA Ludwig will lead technical decisions for the organization including the cyber risk analysis, project teams and technical partnerships. "I am really excited to be a part of an organization like GCA that is focused on international cooperation and coordination against threats on the Internet," said Ludwig. "I hope we can build strong partnerships across sectors and regions of the world to have an impact on threats we all face."
