Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI) Contracted DOMANI to Enhance Sustainability Planning Tool


DENVER, CO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 1, 2007 --Ewire -- DOMANI Sustainability Consulting, LLC, of Denver, Colorado, was retained by The Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI) to assist in the development of its SD (sustainable development) Planner™ Gateway, a new GEMI website that was launched last week.

GEMI is an organization of leading companies dedicated to fostering global environmental, health, and safety (EHS) excellence through the sharing of tools and information to help business achieve EHS excellence.

DOMANI is an executive-level full service sustainability consulting and management firm that helps clients realize new bottom line value through market driven sustainability strategies.

GEMI's SD Planner™ and SD Planner™ Gateway tools enable businesses to "address environmental, economic, and social issues in a way that creates business value," according to the organization. The SD Planner™ is a "detailed, comprehensive planning tool to establish baseline performance, assess opportunities, set goals, develop action plans, and evaluate progress towards sustainable development objectives." Use of the tool helps to identify "critical sustainable development issues that are important to business activities."

DOMANI helped construct GEMI's SD Planner™ Gateway in order to:

--  Raise awareness of sustainable development concepts;
--  Identify business cases for action on sustainable development;
--  Serve as an "on ramp" for GEMI's existing tool, SD Planner™; and
--  Facilitate the use of GEMI's SD Planner™ over company Intranets.
