Global Housing Leader ABODA Wins Double Accolades

Only Firm to Receive Two 2015 "Tower of Excellence" Awards

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Feb 25, 2015) - ABODA, a leader in providing global housing management for some of the world's best-known brands, won two "Tower of Excellence" awards from its industry's leading trade organization, Corporate Housing Providers Association (CHPA).

CHPA's Tower of Excellence annual awards program recognizes companies for their achievements in a range of categories and their positive impact on the corporate housing industry. Seattle area-based ABODA was the only firm to receive multiple "Tower of Excellence" awards at the CHPA Annual Conference, held last week in Orlando, Florida.

ABODA won "Tower of Excellence" honors for "Best Community or Philanthropic Program," which recognized the company's programs for providing the most assistance or benefit to its community; and "Best Green Progress," which recognized the company for exemplifying environmental responsibility and social performance through its policies, plans and activities.

"Credit goes directly to everyone at ABODA who exemplify our philosophy of giving back to our community through employee engagement," said Dave Caple, President and CEO of employee-owned ABODA. "These tremendous honors pay tribute to our employees' tireless and generous efforts to make where we live a better place."

"Winning these two awards validates what our clients have been telling us since ABODA was founded 27 years ago: Our people are what make ABODA great," Caple added.

"It's our service-first culture," said Lee Curtis, President of ABODA Global Housing Management, "that creates an unquenchable desire among ABODA employees to give back to our community through our ABODA Cares program."

Curtis explains ABODA Cares is a multifaceted approach that leverages employee community service with corporate philanthropy efforts that supports both interests of ABODA employees and corporate initiatives focused on housing and families.

ABODA Cares, for example, for 15 years has supported Way Back Inn, a local nonprofit that has provided more than 600 children and their families with well-maintained transitional housing and services.

"When you have 50% of your employees turning out to participate in the hard labor of completely rehabbing an entire house to help provide children and their family with a home so they can rebuild their lives, you know you are doing something right," added Caple.

The 2015 "Best Green Progress" award recognized the global commitment ABODA has made to environmental stewardship.

"Through ABODA Green we are protecting and improving our environment by reducing our environmental footprint through green practices that contribute to a more sustainable future for our planet," explained Curtis, who says that recent ABODA Green efforts "have reduced our carbon footprint by more than 15 tons."

"Everyone at ABODA is humbled becoming this year's only 'Tower of Excellence' double-winner," Caple said, "But again, it really is a tribute to all the employee owners of ABODA who take great personal pride in all they do, and as they have for more than a quarter of a century."

The CHPA Annual Conference drew hundreds of corporate housing and relocation executives from across the U.S. and around the world.
