NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jan 27, 2014) - The global movement for humanity unite4:good today announced the stellar results from its Day of Unity event in Miami to inspire kindness, empower community service and promote a unified sustained movement for positive social change. The organization also outlined its plans for its Unity Day Bay Area February 7-8, 2014, one of several in a national campaign scheduled for major cities across the U.S.

Day of Unity Miami
On January 20th, 2014, a coalition of businesses, local charities and volunteers came together across Miami. The day was packed with a lineup of events ranging from painting murals to art therapy workshops that took place at locations throughout the city. The event was capped off by a star-studded concert at Miami's Ice Palace with a live performance from renowned Miami popular performing artist Flo Rida to thank all those that participated and encourage others to join the movement.
After tallying the results, unite4:good reported the following measurable impact Day of Unity Miami had on the community and the movement as a whole:
- 7,600 participants in 17 different local service events
- 25 charitable organizations were involved on the ground supporting positive and lasting change
- Over 20,000 Acts of Kindness were performed, creating positive action
- Over 60 million media impressions were generated, including global social engagement and conversation integral to the cause
unite4:good Unity Day Bay Area
Continuing the momentum of the campaign, the unite4:good Unity Day Bay Area on February 7th and 8th will also offer numerous volunteering opportunities for both individuals and local non-profit organizations to lend their time in and around the San Francisco Bay area. Celebrities including athletes, civic dignitaries, media and business leaders will be present to encourage acts of kindness and support youth programming.
On February 8th, in partnership with Blair Underwood, unite4:good will be bringing world-class talent and cutting-edge fashion to Craneway Pavilion for the "Behind the Curtain Gala." During this magical night, music and fashion will combine for an exclusive event featuring Miguel, Mario Lopez and Mindless Behavior, with local youth ambassador Sydney Nycole.
