Global SkyPort Media Group Acquires Arkansas Production and Central Cast Facility

LITTLE ROCK, AR--(Marketwire - February 17, 2011) - Global SkyPort Media Group announced today that they have purchased the former Equity Media Holdings, Corp. facility and its C.A.S.H. (Central Automated Satellite Hub) system, designed to simultaneously host Master Control operations for more than 80 TV stations, integrating each element within the broadcast day. The business will relaunch as SkyPort, LLC. The 30,000 square foot television operations center is located in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The fully digital SkyPort satellite and studio facility provides an array of standard and high definition user-defined services for individual stations or network businesses. SkyPort's Central-Casting technology was pioneered and refined at the same location and proven for nearly two decades.

Global Skyport Media provides tools for stations, producers, networks or businesses that need production services, satellite facilities, or remote master control support. Adding to that, SkyPort's network origination and music production capability offer a unique one-stop-shop, value opportunity.

SkyPort General Manager and Senior Engineer, Chuck Stanley helped design the central casting system: "We are pleased that SkyPort is now open and serving full-power or low-power stations; and that this facility can provide full service options for stations, handling all phases of operation with technical proficiency. We are immediately available to serve as a reliable way of cost reduction for stations while at the same time delivering top rate technological and production services."

SkyPort is one of the most advanced master control facilities in the United States. The system can support live broadcasts while inserting program elements as dictated by a station's broadcast schedule. Quality control is monitored by an experienced team of operators and engineers; and production services, including office space are available.

In addition to its satellite remote trucks the facility boasts three television production studios and two radio suites. Clients can publish content in a variety of formats, including MPEG4; and two pass encoding insures top notch mastering. The SkyPort staff has extensive experience using cutting edge broadcast technologies to service remote master control operations.

Global SkyPort Media Group is headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas with offices in Los Angeles, Detroit, and New York.
