Global Uranium Corp.: Initial Sampling at Tin Negouran Returns Up to 11.7% U308 From Old Workings

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - April 12, 2007) - Global Uranium Corp., a private Ontario corporation ("Global" or "the Company"), is pleased to announce the assay results received from a recent field visit and sampling program completed on the Company's Tin Negouran concessions in central Niger, near the town of Agadez.

The four concessions controlled by Global cover an area of approximately 2,000 km2. The site visit located one of the pits previously prepared for mining by a Japanese government agency (International Resources S.A.) during the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Three stock piles were located on the site that segregated the mineralized material from the pit. Samples were sent to Canada for confirmation assaying at Activation Laboratories ("ActLabs") in Burlington, Ontario. Results are as follows:

Sample #TIN-AHS-1 Sandstone, country rock 0.005 % U308 0.11
Sample #TIN-AHS-2 Sandstone, country rock 0.055 % U308 1.21
Sample #TIN-AHS-3 Low grade stockpile composite 0.506 % U308 11.15
Sample #TIN-AHS-4 Low grade stockpile composite 0.299 % U308 6.59
Sample #TIN-AHS-5 Medium grade stockpile composite 3.23 % U308 71.19
Sample #TIN-AHS-6 High grade stockpile composite 11.7 % U308 257.87

Due to these encouraging results, work will begin immediately to remove sand and other accumulated rubble from the pit for further exploration and analysis of the size of the mineralized system.

As part of the larger scale exploration program on site, Global has engaged Stratamodel to conduct an alpha particle survey over a number of target areas at Tin Negouran. This survey will commence at the end of April with results expected by the end of May.

In addition, Global has obtained historical data from the earlier Japanese work programs on the site. Extensive material, including geological sampling and radiometer data, is now under study.
