Mexican Student at Non-Profit Wins Contest After Documenting the Impact of His Newly Acquired English Skills on His International Business Career

The winning student received a free three-year license to the award-winning GlobalEnglish Corporate Learning Service for ongoing development of his business English communication skills.

Since June 2010, eligible INROADS interns have submitted testimonial videos and essays to the My Account contest. Submissions described how GlobalEnglish has improved their business English communication skills, and how their new skills apply to their internship or career objectives. The winner of the contest, Juan Armando Becerra-Gutiérrez, was selected by a panel of judges consisting of INROADS Mexico board members and GlobalEnglish executives. Becerra-Gutiérrez will be honored at an awards ceremony today at the national corporate headquarters of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Proficiency in English is not just important, it is vital to develop my career," said Becerra-Gutiérrez, a Telematics Engineer who was recently selected for a paid INROADS internship at Ericsson, the world's leading provider of technology and services to telecom operators.
