Globecomm to Provide International Criminal Court With Content Distribution Network for Press Coverage

HAUPPAUGE, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 21, 2015) - Globecomm announced today that the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Netherlands has awarded the company a contract to design and integrate a premise content distribution network, its "Public Broadcast Control Room", allowing real-time distribution of all Court proceedings to journalists at hot-desk positions and press rooms throughout the facility.

The optical fiber network links press briefing, conference and interview rooms and outside camera positions, as well as internal editing rooms, copying rooms, audio-visual technology workshops and a satellite van parking area. An advanced control room provides switching and quality-control monitoring of all signal sources and destinations through multi-image video processing built into the central matrix router.

Dwight Hunsicker, SVP Government Solutions, said, "During high-profile genocide and war-crimes cases, the International Criminal Court is at the center of a media storm. This state-of-the-art video system is designed to handle the heavy loads with minimum management and maintenance, and to meet the Court's needs for years to come."

The project is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2015.
