Globecomm Systems Inc., a leading provider of communications infrastructure solutions and services on a global basis, today announced that the Company has been awarded an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from a global multilateral organization. The IDIQ contract is for three years with two one year extension options. Globecomm also received the first order under the contract valued at approximately $9.7 million.
Pursuant to the contract scope, Globecomm will provide the customer with RF Upgrade Kits, antennas, complete terminals and associated services. Globecomm previously provided this customer several hundred fixed terminals and mobile communication trailers. These legacy systems are now being upgraded to leverage IP and baseband technology advancements to reduce yearly operational expenses. Globecomm anticipates completing deliveries on this initial delivery order by the Company's fiscal fourth quarter ending June 30, 2016.
