GlobeStar's Dominican Republic Fall Exploration Program: Drilling Nickel Laterites, Grab Samples up to 2.55% Nickel; IP Surveys on 3 Massive Sulphide Targets

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 21, 2005) - GlobeStar Mining Corporation (TSX VENTURE:GMI) -

NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO UNITED STATES NEWSWIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES.

GlobeStar Mining Corporation is pleased to announce its fall exploration program in the Dominican Republic. It will consist of systematically drilling three nickel laterite properties and Induced Polarization (IP) surveys over 3 massive sulphide targets in the Cerro de Maimon area.

Nickel Laterite Program

The company holds 70 square kilometers of concessions within the Dominican Peridotite Belt, which contain nickel laterite formations (see National Geology map of the Dominican Republic). GlobeStar's nickel exploration land package is the second largest on the island, and is adjacent to Falconbridge's Falcondo nickel mine which produced 29,477 tonnes of nickel in ferronickel in 2004. The mine has been in operation since 1971 (http://www.Falconbridge.com).

GlobeStar holds three nickel concessions:

i. the 100% owned, 10 square kilometer, Cerro de Maimon mining concession (Cumpie Hill) is located 7 kilometers from the Falcondo smelter and is adjacent to

ii. the 50% owned, 18 square kilometer Corozal exploration concession, located 40 kilometers NW of

iii. the 50% owned 42 sq kilometer Cercadillo concession

GlobeStar's 50% interests in the Corozal and Cercedillo concessions are held through a joint venture with Everton Resources (TSX VENTURE:EVR). GlobeStar is the exploration manager for the joint venture.

GlobeStar's nickel laterite drill rig has arrived in the Dominican Republic. The drill rig is hand portable, suitable for drilling near surface nickel laterites. Nickel laterites are often found within 10-15 meters of the surface. The program will commence this month with orientation and calibration work on known nickel laterite profiles, followed by systematic grid drilling of the company's nickel concessions.

The exploration program will commence on Cumpie Hill. GlobeStar's portable rig is designed to rapidly test the multi-kilometre previously mapped peridotite belt, which contains nickel in the underlying bedrock, testing for areas of enhanced grade formed by the laterization process. Twenty kilometers of survey lines have been cut for detailed evaluation.

Twenty-six surface grab samples have been taken at Cumpie Hill (see Table 1: Results). The highest grade was 2.55% nickel and the lowest 0.26% nickel, with 5 samples grading over 1% nickel. Three samples were taken from the Cercadillo concessions with one sample returning over 1% nickel. The samples were prepared and analyzed by XRF, at Falconbridge's mine laboratory at Falcondo, Bonao.

Massive Sulphide Program

GlobeStar controls 15,280 hectares, in the Maimon massive sulphide belt. TMC Geophysics, of Quebec, IP specialists have started a 57 line kilometer survey on Dona Christina, 2J and Cuance. The targets are within 15 km of the planned Cerro de Maimon mill site. The targets consist of coincident copper/gold/zinc geochemistry, electromagnetic anomalies and argillitic and prophyllitic alteration.

Cuance is located 10 kilometers SE of Cerro de Maimon deposit and adjacent to the Loma El Mate gossan boulder discovery by Everton Resources and Linear Gold (see Everton Press Release dated June 7th, 2005). The anomaly extends from the Everton and Linear ground onto the Cuance property. Everton has an option to earn up to a 70% interest in the Cuance concession by completion of a bankable feasibility study (See Press Release August 27th, 2003).
