Independent Investment Advisory Firm Expands Asset Growth Capabilities

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 17, 2011) - Glovista Investments LLC announced today the appointment of Jess Gaitan as Head of Marketing & Investor Relations, responsible for the independent advisory firm's asset-gathering and retention efforts. Mr. Gaitan will support Glovista's Chief Investment Officer Carlos Asilis, Ph.D. in growing the firm's assets, assuming primary responsibility for covering targeted Pension Funds, Endowments, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Family Offices in the United States and Europe.

With over 20 years of sell-side experience, encompassing equity derivatives and cash equities, Mr. Gaitan joins Glovista from Liberum Capital where he was Principal at the firm's New York office. He was an Executive Director at ABN Amro and a Director at Dresdner Kleinwort after working most of his career at J.P. Morgan as Vice President, selling European and Emerging Markets Equities to leading institutional and hedge fund investors in the US. He was top-ranked in Latin American Equity Research Sales by Institutional Investor Magazine during this time. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Mr. Gaitan was a Vice President at Mexican Stock Brokerage firms Casas de Bolsa Inverlat and Probursa.

Mr. Gaitan began his career covering European clients for French bank Societe Generale in Paris, where he worked for 3 years before transferring to New York with the same firm.

Mr. Gaitan earned a BA in Political Economy of Industrial Societies at the University of California at Berkeley. He spent one year studying in Madrid, Spain and was an active member of the Pi Kappa Alpha national fraternity and the UC Berkeley Student Senate. Mr. Gaitan is a California native, member of the Commonwealth Club of California and the California Alumni Association. Born and raised in his home state's San Joaquin Valley, Mr. Gaitan lived in Manhattan for 20 years before establishing a new home recently with his partner and their four Bulldogs in Stamford, Connecticut.
