GM Canada March Sales

(Data is not adjusted for the difference in selling days; March 2015 had 25 selling days and March 2014 had 26 selling days)

OSHAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 1, 2015) - Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 21,027 vehicles in March 2015, a decrease of 3.5 per cent from March 2014. GM truck sales increased in the quarter (13%), reflecting a market shift from cars towards trucks and crossovers.

John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada said, "Our three truck strategy of mid-size, light duty and heavy duty trucks was designed to provide our customers with a full range of options and choices in pickup trucks to suit their individual needs. This positioned us well to respond to this month's continued strong customer demand for pickup trucks. Chevrolet and GMC pickup trucks grew their sales in March, with month over month increases for the Chevrolet Silverado (14%) and GMC Sierra (11%) and the all-new Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon mid-size pickups are continuing to grow their place in the Canadian market."

GM now offers customers 4G LTE technology on more than 30 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac vehicles, the largest deployment in the automotive industry. 4G offers mobile data speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G, allowing GM vehicles to act as Wi-Fi hot spots, allowing customers to connect up to seven different devices.
