ROSEVILLE, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 6, 2013) - CBH Events, organizers of The Gnarly Neon 5K, and the Placer County Fair will be hosting a color run benefitting the Placer County Fair Association on Sunday, March 17th, 2013 at the Placer County Fairgrounds in Roseville.
The event, which will take place on St. Patrick's Day, will begin with a color-themed 5K run in which participants will be covered with a kaleidoscope of colored powders at various color stations spaced throughout the course, all while listening to music by a live DJ. The course will begin on a certified NASCAR racetrack before winding its way through the Race Pits and the Fairgrounds. Participants are encouraged to wear white outfits (that will be subsequently covered in color) and/or St. Patrick's Day-themed costumes.
The party will continue immediately across the finish line at the Fairgrounds' Beer Garden where a live band will be playing and food and drinks will be available for purchase (with all proceeds benefitting the Placer County Fair Association). There will even be green beer!
Participants of all ages and abilities are encouraged to sign up and either run or walk the course, as the Gnarly Neon 5K is not a timed event, but rather a family-themed event encouraging family fitness and outdoor fun.
