GNGWC 2010 South American Semi-Finals Finish in Success

SAO PAULO, BRAZIL--(Marketwire - October 20, 2010) -  The South American semi-finals of the global online game ceremony 'GNGWC2010 (Game and Game World Championship 2010),' managed by Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), began in Espaco Brooklin, São Paulo, Brazil, on October 9, 11 AM (regional time), with a magnificent opening ceremony.

At this year's South American semi-finals, a total of 40 competitors from the online preliminary round have engaged in competition at the field, on 3 games of Ndoors' 'Atlantica,' Onnet's 'Shot Online,' and JoyMax's 'Silkroad Online.' For Silkroad Online, where the first semi finals were held, last year's champion player Gustavo, won first place again.

For Shot Online, last year's champion player Andre won first place by large, as well. For Atlantica, player Rodrigo won 3 to 2 after a fierce competition.

For winners, semi winners of Silkroad Online, Atantica, and winners of Shot Online, and PSP invitations to the Grand Finals were given as rewards. For all participants, a functional notebook backpack was given as gifts.

Director Bum Chung Jang of the KOCCA stated that, "With the end of the South American semi-finals, our foreign competitions have all ended. We wish to welcome a more developed and fruitful competition next year," adding that, "We hope that better games will be released in the future respected abroad, providing a foundation for the GNGWC to be broadened still."

Meanwhile, GNGWC2010, which has circled around the globe including districts of North America, South America, Europe, South East Asia, etc, producing regional winners, finally selects the Korean champion through the last district semi-finals held in SuWon City, Kyung Gi province on October 31. Regional champions will gather at the Grand Finals held in Busan this November to compete for the World Championship.
