CHERRY HILL, NJ--(Marketwired - October 11, 2013) - On October 6th, 2013, Go4theGoal celebrated its 10th Annual Richard's Run HHK 5k in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ with a record high of 1,500 registered runners and many more spectators and supporters. Local Ridgewood resident, 10-year-old Michael Feeney, who has been battling Ewing's Sarcoma for 4 years, sounded the horn to start the race.
"I think the highlight of the day was an hour and three minutes into the race when Michael Feeney crossed the finish line with his family, friends, and soccer team trailing behind," said Gina Buffa, Richard's Run HHK Co-Coordinator and Go4theGoal Board Member. "That moment was a true testament to what this day is all about and the reason we run for all these heroic children battling cancer."
Richard's Run HHK 5k had many corporate and local community sponsors. "The incredible outpouring of support and involvement from the sponsors, volunteers, participants, spectators, and all those who play a part in making this one of the best Race events in Bergen County is unmatched," according to Nan Kelly, Richard's Run HHK Co-Coordinator and Go4theGoal Corporate Partner Liaison. Go4theGoal is grateful to CJR Trading, Benzel Busch Motor Car Corp., Hekemian Co., Morgan Stanley, Ho-Ho-Kus Inn and Forest Hill Health Care Center for their continued support of this annual event.
