goFLUENT Strengthens Its Team to Support Growth in the US

goFLUENT, a leading provider of distance English training, has expanded its sales presence and investment in the language learning market in the USA with the appointment of Brett Walker.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwire - Sept. 20, 2011) - With his previous sales expertise including working for learning management system (LMS) giants, Brett brings his vast knowledge of the SaaS On-Demand eLearning Software Solution Industry to the goFLUENT team.

In his previous positions, Brett worked with clients such as Senior Vice Presidents in the HR function; Vice Presidents of Human Capital, and Training Directors to identify their organizations' human capital training and development gaps, and develop appropriate solutions. goFLUENT is confident that this knowledge and experience will enable them to meet the growing needs of their prominent customers in the USA as they seek to deploy distance learning programs internationally and integrate these with their LMS.

Sandrine Pruniere, Vice President of goFLUENT International, commented, "Brett brings with him a wealth of knowledge including ten years of business-to-business sales experience, four years of which were been spent in the e-learning sector. He'll be using this experience to secure new deals with companies in the US, enabling goFLUENT to target this key strategic market for future growth."

goFLUENT already has a number of American clients, including O-I, the glassmaking giant, and Eli Lilly, the tenth largest pharmaceutical company in the world. For these industry leaders, goFLUENT's blended learning approach helps improve business English communication needs that pertain to colleagues and clients alike.

Learners receive consistent written feedback, as well as individual coaching, to enable them to develop linguistic confidence and notions of correct grammar and spelling. In addition, learners have access to e-learning resources from AFP, the New York Times, and Harvard Business Review.

The need for this sort of learning has grown in recent years as companies which operate globally have adopted the policy – prompted by global business practice – of using English to communicate; both internally and with their customers, wherever they are in the world.

This means that professionals in almost any industry are obliged to attain higher and higher levels of proficiency in English, and goFLUENT, with its blend of e-learning, customized content, written coaching and telephone lessons successfully addresses, providing a consistent and efficient learning experience.

Christophe Ferrandou, CEO of goFLUENT, said, "We're finding that, increasingly, large international companies are looking for an English training partner that can provide training to their employees worldwide. goFLUENT can meet those needs with our unique blended offer. We've recently augmented our portfolio of products and services by partnering with the New York Times News Syndicate to use New York Times videos and Harvard Business Review articles as resources on our e-learning platform.

"The combination of our innovative blended solution with today's market growth has caused goFLUENT to experience rapid growth in the US. We believe that Brett's arrival will help us respond to the business world's increasing demand for English knowledge and expertise."
